High-Performance Aerosol Penetrating Oil for Rust Removal & Maintenance

Release No.1 Aerosol is a professional-grade penetrating oil and rust inhibitor designed to displace moisture, dissolve corrosion, and protect metal. As a dewatering fluid, it creates a hydrophobic barrier that prevents oxidation and stops rust before it starts. It’s ideal for automotive, marine, industrial, and electrical maintenance, wherever water and metal meet.

What Is a Dewatering Fluid & Why Use It?

Unlike standard lubricants, Release No.1 Aerosol penetrates deeply into threads, joints, and fasteners to loosen rusted or seized parts quickly. It’s an essential tool for engineers, mechanics, and maintenance teams who need reliable, mess-free corrosion control in challenging environments.

Use Release No.1 Dewatering Fluid in:

  • Engineering workshops and mechanical garages
  • Industrial plants and heavy machinery servicing
  • Marine engines, transport vehicles, and off-road fleets
  • Electrical panels, terminals, and control cabinets
  • Public utility maintenance and vehicle depots
  • Battery terminals and moisture-exposed hardware

Key Benefits of this Penetrating Oil

  • Fast-acting formula - Quickly loosens rusted, corroded, or seized parts
  • Moisture displacer - Protects electricals and exposed metal
  • Rust inhibition - Leaves a protective barrier to prevent future corrosion
  • Targeted application - Low-mess aerosol format reaches into fine threads
  • Multipurpose - Ideal for electrical, mechanical, and marine systems
  • Reliable in harsh conditions - Performs in damp, coastal, or outdoor environments

Important

  • FLAMMABLE aerosol.
  • Maybe fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
  • Causes skin irritation.
  • May cause drowsiness and dizziness.

1️⃣ Shake well before use to activate the dewatering and rust-inhibiting formula.

2️⃣ Spray directly onto rusted, corroded, or moisture-exposed components, such as bolts, fittings, terminals, or metal machinery.

3️⃣ Allow the penetrating oil to work into the surface—it will quickly displace moisture and loosen seized parts.

4️⃣ Wipe off excess if needed or leave in place for continued rust protection.

Is penetrating oil the same as WD40?

No, penetrating oil is not the same as WD40. While WD40 is a popular multi-purpose lubricant and rust inhibitor, penetrating oil, such as APT’s effective penetrating oil, is specifically formulated to have superior penetrating capabilities.

Penetrating oils are designed to deeply infiltrate and loosen rust, corrosion, and seized components, making them easier to remove or separate.

What is the best penetrating oil?

The best penetrating oil is subjective and can depend on the specific application and requirements. However, APT’s effective penetrating oil, such as Release No.1, is highly regarded for its exceptional penetrating power, lubrication, and rust-fighting properties.

Its ability to rapidly soak into tight spaces, provide excellent lubrication, and leave a protective graphite film makes it a top choice for various industries and applications.

    What does penetrating oil do?

Penetrating oil is designed to break down rust, corrosion, and other obstructions that cause components to seize or become difficult to move. It works by infiltrating the microscopic gaps between the metal surfaces, reducing friction, and loosening the bonded particles.

Penetrating oil also provides lubrication, reducing the chance of component shearing during disassembly. Its primary function is to make the removal or separation of rusted or stuck components easier and more efficient.
