Decarbonising Fluid – Decarboniser Fluid

(2)

APT’s Decarbonising Fluid is a cold tank immersion de-carbonising agent solvent used for the removal of carbonised oil, paint, grease etc. from metal components such as engines, gearboxes, machinery, processing equipment, etc.

Decarbonising Fluid is supplied as a two phase liquid. The highly active lower phase quickly softens and removes paint and carbon deposits, whilst the upper 2” aqueous/water collar phase reduces solvent loss evaporation and avoids pungent odours /improves the working environment.
As the parts are being removed through the upper phase they are simply to be rinsed and protected against corrosion.
Decarbonising Fluid is safe on most metals, but may soften or distort rubber, plastic, paint and other polymers and organic materials. Recommended to Test firsts to give desired results.

  • Low viscosity: Easily reaches and eliminates carbon deposits from intricate parts and solvent-safe components.
  • Powerful decarbonising and paint stripping action: One application is usually sufficient, saving time, effort, and money.
  • Built-in evaporation barrier / rust inhibitor: Enhances user experience and protects cleaned parts after decarbonising.
  • Suitable for use on most metals: Eliminates the need for multiple products, providing a convenient solution for various metal surfaces.
  • Made in the UK

Description

A ‘cold immersion’ de-carbonising solvent used for the removal of carbonised oil, paint, grease etc. from metal components such as engines, gearboxes, machinery, processing equipment, etc. Is supplied as a two phase liquid. The highly active lower phase quickly softens and removes paint and carbon deposits. The upper phase they are simply to be rinsed and protected against corrosion.

Directions

Use as supplied. If NOT using all of the contents of the drum, mix thoroughly before decanting, and ensure that the two phases are maintained in the correct proportions in a suitable soak tank or receptacle. Ensure at least a 2” 50mm water collar /barrier is /sits over the solvent. Decarbonising Fluid is designed to be used at room temperature and must NOT be heated.

USAGE
Soak the components in the active solvent, ensuring that they are totally immersed until the contamination is softened or removed. Immersion times may be varied depending upon the degree of soiling. Allow 20 – 30 minutes for light carbon and paint build up. Medium or heavy soiling 1-2 hours in normal. After removal allow any excess liquid on the components to drain back into the soak tank.
Components may washed / hosed or pressure washed to remove the loosened soiling.

FAQ's

What is a decarboniser used for?

Decarbonising fluid is used for the rapid removal of carbonised oil, paint, and grease-based contamination from all metal components such as engines, carburettors, gearboxes, machinery, and industrial processing equipment. Decarboniser Fluid is a cold tank immersion de-carbonising agent and solvent degreaser. Decarboniser Fluid is safe to use with most metals, but may soften or distort rubber, plastic, paint, other polymers, and organic materials. It is designed to be used as a cold tank decarbonising fluid and must NOT be heated. Always test first to ensure that your material won’t be damaged. This is a powerful product!

How to decarbonise?

APT’s Decarboniser Fluid carbon remover is the best way to quickly get rid of unwanted carbon deposits without hassle. This decarbonising fluid is supplied as a two-phase liquid. We recommend that you soak the components in the active lower phase, ensuring that they are totally immersed until the contamination is softened or removed. Immersion times required will vary depending upon the degree of soiling (suggestions are made on the back of the packaging or contact our team for specific advice). After removal, we suggest that you allow excess liquid on the components to drain back into the soak tank. Components may be hosed, or pressure washed to remove the loosened soiling if necessary.

Why is decarbonising important?

Decarbonising is hugely important for the maintenance and smooth running of all vehicles that run on engines, it’s essential to ensure optimal functioning and effective working condition. This powerful solvent degreaser is used for the rapid removal of carbonised oil, paint, and grease-based contamination from metal components such as engines carburettors gearboxes, machinery, and industrial processing equipment. With built in evaporation barrier/rust inhibitor makes using the product more pleasant and protects cleaned parts after decarbonising it’s suitable for use on most metals which saves you having to source several products, but you should be careful and check the instructions when looking to use it on other materials.

How to decarbonise petrol engine?

It is paramount to ensure that petrol engines are frequently decarbonised to ensure that engines carburettors gearboxes, machinery, and industrial processing equipment. APT Decarboniser Fluid carbon remover is the best way to quickly get rid of unwanted carbon deposits without hassle. This decarbonising fluid is supplied as a two-phase liquid. The highly active lower phase quickly softens and decarbonises deposits, whilst the upper aqueous phase reduces solvent loss and improves the working environment. With built in evaporation barrier/rust inhibitor makes using the product more pleasant and protects cleaned parts after decarbonising it’s suitable for use on most metals which saves you having to source several products.

What is decarbonisation?

Engine decarbonizing does not involve switching to electric vehicles to avoid carbon emissions. Rather, it involves cleaning up the carbon residue that is left over from the conventional fuel supply used in internal combustion chambers. Decarbonization improves engine performance, as it reduces engine noise, reduces vibration, and restores fuel efficiency. It also decarbonizes other important parts of the engine, such as catalytic converters, and other parts of the vehicle, such as exhaust sensors. Decarboniser Fluid is safe to use with most metals, but may soften or distort rubber, plastic, paint, other polymers and organic materials. It is designed to be used as a cold tank decarbonising fluid, and must NOT be heated. Always test first to ensure that your material won’t be damaged. This is a powerful product!
